To The Daily Sun,

Our Democratic representatives in Washington no longer represent their voters. There are two major legislations in congress that our representatives, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, Sen. Maggie Hassan, Rep. Maggie Goodlander and Rep. Chris Pappas consistently vote no on.

The first is to fund the government. The hold up is funding for the Department of Homeland Security. This is based upon a false narrative the Democrats created by claiming ICE is killing American citizens. Both victims were ICE agitators interfering with legal deportations.

The second is the Save Act which requires proof of citizenship to vote in national elections. Eighty-five percent of all Americans want to pass that law but “blue” and in our case “purple” states vote no. This is not representative government.

Being raised in the 1960s, I remember President John Kennedy’s speech, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” Today’s Democratic voters seem to consistently vote for politicians that promise them free stuff.

Zohran Mamdani and Gavin Newsom are the most notable. Both rely on the financial ignorance of the voting public. Both oppose the Save Act so illegal immigrants can vote. They promised to improve lives in NYC and California by taxing their richest residents to support illegal immigrants with housing, health care, food and education. Yes, many are self-supporting but many more are not.

New Hampshire is not NYC or California yet. But our elected representatives share many of their failed policies. Sending them back to D.C. at the midterms will push the country one step closer the financial cliff both NYC and California are careening toward today.

Contact Shaheen, Hassan, Goodlander and Pappas and tell them to vote yes on funding the government and the Save Act. They should represent all NH voters, not just their political party.
