To The Daily Sun,

I recently learned president and general manager Tom Day will be leaving Gunstock at the end of this ski season after the season is over. Tom did accomplish many good accomplishments over the last four years. As a former Gunstock Commissioner including chair it very disappointing that the true vision of the master plan presented to an overwhelming reception of 200 people two years ago was not achieved. Unfortunately that will be the legacy of the current Gunstock Area Commissioners and Tom’s to do list. Folks be prepared to enjoy Gunstock as it used to be versus what it could be. Looking to the future to actually achieve more is something called success. Tom did a great job at his level, however, the Belkap and GAC forces to live in the past are very strong. Wish him success in his well deserved retirement.
