To The Daily Sun,

As Belmont voters prepare for the upcoming selectboard election, it is worth considering not only experience, but character and commitment to the community.

Mark Lewandoski has served Belmont for decades, including many years as police hief. During that time, he oversaw the construction of the Belmont Police Station, bringing the project in under budget, and successfully led the department through a default budget period while maintaining public safety and steady operations.

But beyond his professional accomplishments, Lewandoski is known by many in town as someone who is approachable, steady, and deeply invested in Belmont’s well-being. He understands the day-to-day realities of town government and the importance of listening to residents and working collaboratively.

Belmont has faced ongoing budget challenges, and thoughtful, experienced leadership will be important moving forward. Lewandoski brings not only knowledge of municipal operations, but a long-standing connection to the people and history of this community.

Voters benefit from leaders who combine practical experience with a genuine commitment to the town they serve.
