To The Daily Sun,

On behalf of IRONMAN and the IRONMAN Foundation, I wanted to thank everyone who assisted in making the return of the IRONMAN 70.3 Timberman an overwhelming success. From elite professional athletes to spectators and corporate sponsors, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The athletes loved the course and were incredibly appreciative of how they were welcomed by the community.

Specifically, I'd like to recognize Mayor Hosmer for being instrumental in the return of this race. His vision for making Laconia the host of the IRONMAN 70.3 Timberman and willingness to assist the Ironman team plan a world class event was instrumental in its success. Laconia City Manager Scott Myers and his team of Amy Lovisek, Rob Mora, Wes Anderson are some of the best professionals we've worked with. Support from Laconia Fire Chief Kirk Beattie, Laconia Police Chief Matt Canfield, Belmont Police Chief Lewandowski and Loudon Police Chief Burgess and their departments was incredible. NH Motor Speedway's Dave McGrath and his team were also instrumental in the event's success.

Last, but not least, Emily Gaudet and the hundreds of volunteers she helped organize were the "secret sauce" of the event's success. These volunteers were generous with their time and their spirit. Many athletes spoke about how much they appreciated the festive aid and encouragement stations along the course. Our volunteers rocked it!

Finally, IRONMAN 70.3 Timberman was a success because of our amazing community. THANK YOU and looking forward to 2022 and beyond!!
