To the editor,
As I left the Veterans Day service today in Laconia, I was just so thankful the way the Laconia Police Department stepped in and for a short period, blocked off traffic at the square. For many years in the past it has just been so disruptive with all the cars and loud trucks interfering with the service.
I am not sure what prompted this arrangement but I thank the LPD for the most efficient way it was handled.
