To the editor,

To my fellow Winnisquam Regional School District residents and taxpayers in Sanbornton. Over the past year I have had the distinct privilege of working on the WRSD Budget committee with Tim Lang. Tim is running for the School Board and I would ask that you vote for him. While it will be a tremendous loss to the Budget Committee, it will be the School Board’s gain. I’ve come to know Tim as someone deeply committed to the education and safety of our children. His work on the budget committee has shown me that he is fair minded, fiscally responsible and even tempered.

His expertise in the technology field was invaluable to us on the committee in understanding that cost center. His leadership in that area brought several cost saving and efficiency issues to the forefront of our discussion. He was instrumental in establishing a technology sub-committee that will be looking at not only expenditures but how we can better utilize our resources and better educate our kids.

As well as being a small business owner in our community Tim is a former police officer. This experience makes him especially qualified in working on the School Board. The board overseas policy, discipline and expenditures, so his success in both of his careers makes him uniquely qualified for a position on our School Board.

Finally, no matter who Sanbornton ultimately chooses to represent them on the School Board, they will be taking the place of one of our district’s longest serving board members, Nina Gardner. Nina will be finishing her 19th year on the board and has provided exceptional leadership during her tenure. If you have the pleasure of seeing her in your travels, take a moment to thank her for her service and wish her well. With Nina leaving the board it could create a leadership vacuum. I encourage you to vote for Tim Lang from Sanbornton to fill that leadership void on the Winnisquam Regional School Board. See you all at District Meeting on the 21st.
