To the editor:
I was a little shocked to read about the senior citizen punishment bill proposed by Rep. Gail Morrison of Tilton. How does one 89-year-old driver involved in a tragic accident transfer into a 70-year-old miscreant? I certainly hope that this Morrison bill fails. Maybe Representative Morrison means well but does she really think that most of us in our 70's are drooping, drooling imbeciles? Ironically, I think more senior out-of-state drivers come here than live here. They damage roads and, yes, get involved in accidents without penalties. Try dealing with a no-fault insurance state even when the visiting driver caused the accident. I know first hand. Our motto "Live Free or Die" is becoming a massive joke.
