The N.H. Marine Patrol has announced that special docking restrictions for the Wears Beach area will go into effect on Wednesday, June 17 and remain in effect through noon on Sunday, June 23. During that time period it will not be legal to anchor, moor or raft a vessel on Lake Winnipesaukee from an imaginary line that runs from the northeastern corner of the Winnipesaukee Pier to the northern-most light buoy that marks the northern-most end of the Weirs Channel and continuing on in to the shoreline.
The prohibited area also includes all point south of the imaginary line, to include the Weirs Channel area to the lighted navigational aid marking the southern-most end of the channel.
