Waving into the weekend from Belknap County Nursing Home

A group of residents and staff sat outside the Belknap County Nursing Home, along North Main Street in Laconia, on Friday morning, waving to riders passing by during the 102nd Laconia Motorcycle Week. The tradition has been creating smiles for over a decade, and was originally suggested by residents. Residents are driven on a bus to sit in the parking lot, and have lunch, either from McDonald’s or a barbecue. This year, residents voted for McDonald’s. “It’s what you do during Bike Week in the Lakes Region,” Recreation Director Brenda Twardosky said.
