Urgent care opens next month in Meredith

Michelle McEwen, chief executive officer of Speare Memorial Hospital, center in red, addresses the crowd Friday during a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Speare's new MedCheck Urgent Care in Meredith, opening next month. The project suffered delays due to weather, material cost increases and supply-chain issues. Once open, a wide array of services, from urgent care to occupational health, will be available. Concord Orthopaedics, PA will rent space adjacent to the urgent care until their new offices in Tilton are complete. (Jon Decker/The Laconia Daily Sun photo)
