LACONIA  — Those who are looking to take the party from the boat to the shore are invited to dock at the Weirs Beach Pier and walk over to the Tower Hill Tavern, located at 264 Lakeside Ave.

Open daily from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m., the Tower Hill Tavern provides guests with the opportunity to savor a meal and enjoy a drink, while listening to one of the live performances taking place within the newly renovated venue.

“We’ve done a lot this past year to make the place even nicer than it was before,” said Anthony Santagate, owner of the tavern. Since purchasing the facility, Santagate has transformed the strip from small shops into an expansive two story venue. Additions have included an upstairs music hall, pool tables and dart boards, a full bar and a small stage downstairs. However, these renovations have not prevented Santagate from further improving the facility.

Opening up the 2017 with a newly finished roof and floors, an updated kitchen, and the implementation of an expansive new menu by chef Cary Williams, Tower Hill Tavern has many exciting things to offer.

This year there have been more entrees ordered than in the years past, which Santagate attests to bringing Williams on as chef. Some of the more popular items include steak tips, seafood stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta, and fish and chips, according to Williams. The main menu includes a children’s alternate selection and a complimentary beverage list, featuring both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to choose from.

The open bar offers various specialty cocktails, as well as a large selection of craft beers that are on draft, according to Santagate.

“Between the food, the drinks, live music and karaoke, we draw in a lot of people both young and old,” said Santagate. “A lot of people come out to listen to the tribute bands that we bring in throughout the summer season.”

On Saturday, Aug. 19, the Tower Hill Tavern will host Terrafunk, a band known for its funk, soul, and rock and roll style. The show will begin at 9 p.m. For more information or tickets, people can visit 366-9100.
