Police are investigating the burglary of a house on Sleeper Hill Road that is believed to have occurred on Thursday. And they are asking residents of the area to be on heightened awareness, prepared to call 527-4737 immediately if they observe suspicious behavior.
According to a police report, a UPS diver was attempting to make a delivery to William Norton residence at 32 Sleeper Hill Road at about 3:20 p.m. yesterday when he observed the back door of the home had been broken down and the inside of the home disturbed.
Police say it is possible, but not likely, the burglary could have occurred earlier in the week. Anyone who observed suspicious behavior in the neighborhood during the time frame is urged to call the station.
