MANCHESTER — The deadline for talented youngsters to submit their handiwork to a Congressional art competition is fast approaching.

Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) said Tuesday the deadline for the 2025 Congressional Art Competition in New Hampshire’s First Congressional District is 5 p.m. on Friday, April 18.

Members of the House of Representatives, in coordination with the Congressional Institute, sponsor a nationwide high school arts competition each spring. The competition represents an opportunity to encourage and recognize the artistic talent of high school students in New Hampshire and across the country.

Pappas encourages students who live in the First Congressional District to participate in the competition.

The district’s winning artwork will be displayed for an entire year in the U.S. Capitol as part of an exhibit which will include winners from across the country. The winning submission will also be featured on the House Congressional Art Competition website. Second place artwork will be displayed in Pappas’ Washington, D.C., office in the Cannon Building, and third place will be displayed in his Manchester district office.
