LACONIA — A car moved into the breakdown lane on New Hampshire Route 106, passing several cars and touching off a road rage incident that left one man injured, police said.
The incident began at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19, when an orange pickup pulling a trailer did the illegal passing maneuver at a high rate of speed.
Police were alerted to the situation and then quickly learned that there was a fight in the foyer of the Dunkin' Donuts on South Main Street.
The driver of the pickup and another driver were involved in the fight, which left a man with a badly cut head, Police Chief Matt Canfield said.
Police are reviewing surveillance video from the doughnut store.
“We are confident that we will be able to make an arrest,” Canfield said. “We’re trying to determine who the aggressor was. By the time we arrived, one guy was outside bleeding from the head, and the other guy was still there.”
