Skiers and snowboarders try out equipment during the inaugural DemoFest at Gunstock Mountain Resort in Gilford on Saturday morning. Snow-sport enthusiasts could test-drive skis from Head, Elan and Dynastar, and snowboards by Arbor, free of charge. Any skiers or riders interested in testing equipment could take two test runs on the mountain before returning it for the next brand. All equipment used for the demo is now available for purchase at Gunstock. Gunstock Ski & Sport Shop Manager Jim Shockley is hoping these demos assist skiers and riders in find the best equipment. "We had a lot of people interested in new technologies and new bindings, and new safety features that they otherwise didn't really have the opportunity to get out here and use."
