A story that appeared in the Saturday, July 7 edition of The Daily Sun — "Irving Oil gets another month to right Rte. 140 site" — contained an attribution error. The company is operating under the threat of a $157,500 fine for failing to adequately plan for and guard against oil spills there from the federal Environmental Protection Agency EPA). The state Department of Environmental Services is not contemplating a fine against the company.
