A 18-year-old Methuen, Mass. teen has been charged with "boating while intoxicated" after the craft he was piloting apparently hit rocks near the shore of Eagle Island very early Saturday morning, went airborne and ended some 30-feet onto land. Neither Jared Dumeis nor his two passengers, Justin Lison, 20, of Salem and Joseph Luccisano, 17, Methuen were injured in the accident. Lison, however, was charged with being a "minor in possession of alcohol".

The Marine Patrol received a report of a possible boating accident near Eagle Island at 3:10 a.m. Upon arriving at the scene, officers observed the three young men signaling the patrol boat with a flare.
