WEIRS BEACH — Several people were injured Sunday afternoon after a car accident at The Looney Bin on Endicott Street North, according to reports from the scene. 

A white SUV left the road and appeared to crash into the building around 12:45 p.m. An initial report from the scene indicated at least five people were injured and one person was trapped. The Laconia Fire Department responded, along with companies from surrounding towns.

An hour later, the victims had been transported to local hospitals and several to Concord Hospital for more serious injuries, according to on-scene reports.
