LACONIA — Local police are investigating a break-in at a local vape shop early Monday morning.

According to Laconia police, someone broke into Smokers Haven, at 245 Union Ave., shortly before 2:30 a.m. The suspect smashed the glass on the front door and then made off with what police would only describe as “various store merchandise.”

Detective Sgt. Benjamin Black said the investigation into the burglary was continuing, and declined to give more information.

This makes the second time in 2½ months Smokers Haven has been targeted by criminals.

On Dec. 29 a man held up the store store and made off with an undisclosed about of cash. The following day he surrendered to police and confessed to the robbery, according to court documents.
