LACONIA — Police handled 80 service calls from noon Monday, Dec. 23 until noon Christmas Day.

Two people were arrested.

Joseph McCormick, 28, no fixed address, was arrested on a bench warrant.

Jonathan R. Swett, 34, of Keasor Court, in Laconia, was arrested for driving after his license was revoked or suspended, driving a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, and disobeying an officer.

Officers conducted nine motor vehicle stops, and investigated traffic accidents on South Main Street, Meredith Center Road, Addison Street, and at Union Avenue and Elm Street.

One call dealt with a juvenile matter.

Police investigated the reports of two motor vehicle thefts.

A report of possible sex offenses was investigated.

Police investigated a report of criminal threatening on Merrimac Street.

Officers responded to six disturbance calls, including three calls that were classified as domestic disturbances.
