Another season of America’s Got Talent is coming! Six months after Season 20 ended with Jessica Sanchez being named the winner of Season 20 in September 2025, NBC has revealed what’s to come from the talent competition.

This year will mark the 20-year anniversary of America’s Got Talent, which first premiered back in 2006, so it’s quite a milestone for the beloved series. Scroll down for everything we know about the return of the show, including the premiere date, which judges will be coming back, and more.

Will America’s Got Talent return for Season 21?

Yes, NBC officially confirmed the return of America’s Got Talent for Season 21 on March 12. Prior to the official reveal, it was theorized that the show was coming back because the official AGT website had information about how to audition.

“Auditioning for AGT has never been easier,” the show’s website said. Music acts were able to audition on October 18, 2025, dance acts on November 21, 2025, and variety acts had an audition date of January 10, 2026. For talents that don’t fit in any of these specific categories, contestants could “sign up on any date.”

The auditions were all done via video call with producers, while prospective contestants could also submit a video audition on their own time.

When does America’s Got Talent Season 21 premiere?

Season 21 of America’s Got Talent premieres on Tuesday, June 2, at 8/7c on NBC. The show generally premieres on the Tuesday after Memorial Day, but since the holiday falls early this year, it’s coming back a week later.

The Auditions will air on Tuesdays until August 11. Beginning on August 18 at 8/7c, the Live Shows will begin, followed by a results show on Wednesday nights at 8/7c.

Who are the America’s Got Talent Season 21 judges?

The same judges from Season 20 are returning: Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, and Mel B. will be back on the panel.

Season 20 was Mel’s first time on AGT (aside from spinoffs) since 2013. She replaced Heidi Klum, who was previously a judge from Seasons 8 to 13 and Seasons 15 to 19. Meanwhile, Mandel has been a staple at the judges’ table since Season 5, while Cowell joined in Season 11, and Vergara came on board during Season 15.

Terry Crews has hosted the show since Season 14 and will be back for Season 21.
