MOULTONBOROUGH — Virginia L. Davis, 87, of Weymouth, Mass., and formerly a longtime resident of Moultonborough and Laconia, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at South Shore Hospital, Weymouth, Mass.
Virginia was born June 7, 1927 in Laconia, daughter of the late Edward L. Davis and Clara (Guerin) Davis. Virginia was formerly employed at the Meredith Bank & Trust, and was secretary to the President and the Bank Board.
She loved reading, cooking and enjoyed writing in her diary, and above all spending time with friends and family.
Virginia is survived by a son, Alan and his wife Karen, of Plymouth, Mass.; two daughters, Kathleen Aldrich and her husband Norman, of Gilford, and Patricia Davis and her husband, the Rev. Roger Davis of Brewer, Maine; seven grandchildren Kimberly Duell, Jeffrey Davis, Hillary Damon, Sarah Sedgley, Naomi Wise, Jared Davis and Kelli Aldrich; sic great-grandchildren and a nephew.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased be her husband, Leo E. Davis in 2002; and a brother, Paul Davis.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at noon at St. Andre Bessette Parish in St. Joseph's Church, 30 Church St., Laconia. Burial will be held in the spring at St. Lambert Cemetery in Laconia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lakes Region Hospital Oncology Department, 80 Highland St., Laconia.
