Stella L. Brisson, 83

 

MEREDITH — Stella L. Brisson, 83, died on Nov. 21, 2016, at Golden View Healthcare in Meredith following a few months of failing health.

She was born Jan. 16, 1933 in Manchester, the daughter of Albert and Beatrice (Blanchard) Chalifour. She lived in Manchester until 1994, when she and her husband, Jacques, relocated to Laconia. Prior to her retirement, she was an assembler for Aavid Thermalloy.

Stella was an extremely talented artisan and over the years honed her skills in baking, knitting, tole painting, ceramics, sewing, embroidery, and in her later years, was a prolific quilter. Her family will have lasting memories of her and her creativity.

Stella's family includes her husband of 50 years, Jacques C. Brisson of Manchester; a son, Daniel Brisson and his wife, Shannon and their children, Ginger and Desmond; a daughter, Deborah Brisson; siblings, Henry Chalifour and his wife Doris of Manchester, and Claire Aguiar of Chester. She was predeceased by one sister, Doris, and three brothers, Robert, Roger and Roland.

A gathering of relatives and friends will take place on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St. Manchester.
