Sherri L. Doucette, 47

ALEXANDRIA — Sherri L. Doucette, 47, of McMurphy Road, died Monday, April 18, 2016, at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia, after a brief illness.

She was born in Greenville, the daughter of Gilman and Charlene (Jones ) Ouellette.

Sherri's family moved to the Bristol area in the 1970s and she attended local schools, graduating from Newfound Memorial High School in 1986. Sh went on to earn her LPN certificate and worked at Golden View Health Care Center, Mountain Ridge Nursing Home and Forest View Manor before becoming ill.

Sherri preferred to spend time at home and with family. She enjoyed doing cross-stitch needlework, crafts, and especially ceramics with her mother as well as ice fishing with her father, and boating.

Family members include her husband, Jean Doucette, of Alexandria; her parents, Gilman and Charlene Ouellette of Alexandria; two sisters, Shelley (Scott) Doucette of Bristol, and Rae Jean (Jason) Phillippy of Belmont; nieces Charlotte and Sydney Phillippy and Lauren Doucette; and a nephew, Ben Doucette; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

There are no calling hours. Memorial services will be private.

Those wishing to make donations in her memory are asked to to consider either the Newfound Area Nursing Association (NANA), 214 Lake St., Bristol, NH 03222, or the Alexandria Volunteer Fire Department, 158 Washburn Road, Alexandria, NH 03222.
