Philip E. Durocher, 87

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Philip Edward Durocher, who departed this life on Dec. 27, 2025, in Greer, South Carolina, at the age of 87.

Born on Oct. 23, 1938, in Hartford, Connecticut, Philip lived a full and meaningful life grounded in faith, family, and hard work. A man of Catholic faith, he carried his values with quiet strength throughout his years.

Philip spent his professional life working with dedication until his retirement from New Hampshire Ball Bearings. His career reflected the same principles he held dear in his personal life — honesty, diligence, and integrity. As a father, he was loving but fair, instilling in his children the importance of truthfulness and perseverance.

He found joy in the simple yet enriching pleasures of life. An avid chess and cribbage player, Philip relished a good challenge across the board. He also enjoyed playing pool and was known for his creative carpentry skills — crafting with both precision and imagination.

Philip leaves behind a large and loving family who will carry forward his legacy. He is survived by Mary Durocher; Cindy and Bob Thompson of South Carolina; Fabian and Ann Durocher; Joseph and Roberta Durocher of New Hampshire; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Susie A. Durocher and Eugene A. Durocher; two brothers, Robert Durocher and Leo Durocher; and two sisters, Joan Durocher and Marion Kwiecien.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Laconia.
