FRANKLIN — Paul Arthur Sirard, 90, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2024, surrounded by his family after a brief period of declining health.
Born in Franklin, on April 26, 1934, the son of Melina (née LaPlante) Tefft and Julius Sirard of Franklin, he worked at many places including Cormier Hosiery Mill, Hebert Foundry, Swenson Granite, and Arwood Corporation. Following retirement, he went back to work at Lowe's.
Arthur enjoyed many hobbies including bowling, horseshoes, and golf, he was a longtime member of Den Brae Golf Course.
You could always find Arthur doing work around his house, stacking wood, cutting grass, in his pool, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Arthur will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, as he left an incredible mark on every single life that he touched. He will be greatly missed.
He was married to his wife Nancy (Pelletier) Sirard for 61 years. Family members include children: Kelly Weaver, Randy Sirard, Donna Duquette, Tammy Sirard, Ann Durocher, and Paul Sirard; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Arthur was predeceased by his grandson, Tyler Sirard, on Oct. 27, 2007.
Visiting hours will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, June 4, at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
