Michael McGraw, of Alexandria, passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 20, 2024, with his family by his side after a short journey with cancer.

Mike grew up in Hudson, where he met Gail, his wife of 40 years. They moved up north to raise their family. Mike worked at Freudenberg for over 30 years as millwright. He was a great friend, neighbor and always willing to help anyone. He cherished his time with his four grandchildren. He had an incredible work ethic, common sense, was a “say it like it is” guy and was known as “Mr. Fix It.”

He was an outdoorsman, always out enjoying nature in his yard at home. He was an avid hiker for many years and enjoyed canoeing the Pemi. He loved taking motorcycle rides throughout New Hampshire and across the country. Mike’s garage was “his place,” always open for his family, neighbors and friends. He would always say, “A car is only as good as the tires it rolls on.”

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Esther and Dick of Hudson.

He is survived by his wife Gail, two sons, a daughter, two sisters, four beautiful grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mike will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May he find peace and comfort in the arms of the Lord.

A celebration of his life will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, at the Alexandria Town Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Haynes Library and mailed to the Town of Alexandria, 47 Washburn Road A, Alexandria, NH 03222.
