Martha A. LeRoy, 83

CENTER HARBOR — Martha “Marty” Ann LeRoy, 83, of Center Harbor, passed away on August 27, 2022 from a lengthy battle with dementia, with family by her side.

Marty was born on August 9, 1939 in Boston, MA, to parents Margaret and Carl Walter. She attended and graduated the Dana Hall School along with Notre Dame and Wheelock College.

Ms. LeRoy was a long-time hotel owner, therapist, teacher, and owner of her own seamstress business, which she continued after retirement. She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist congregation as well as very active in many community organizations/events.

Marty was heaven sent. She was the most loving, intelligent, and kind person you could ever meet. She always supported her loved ones and made sure they could succeed in whatever they chose to do. Marty was known for her selflessness, and ability to brighten your day. All who knew Marty knew that she loved spending time with family and friends, and that she could carry on the absolute best conversations. She enjoyed sewing and knitting as well as spending any extra time that she could in her garden. She was there to listen and would always give the most meaningful and helpful advice. "She touched everyone’s lives differently and will always be remembered as an astounding Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother."

She is survived by her daughter, Laurie LeRoy; granddaughter, Brianna Longo; and great-grandson, Liam.
