LACONIA — Marcia L. Peaslee, of Laconia, died on Dec. 16, 2019, at her residence, after a long battle with cancer.
Marcia was born March 27, 1950, in Geneva, Indiana, daughter of the late Marion “Pud” and Beverly (Parr) Smith, the oldest of their six children.
Mrs. Peaslee was the widow of Harold W. Peaslee, who died on Jan. 6, 2012. In their life, they enjoyed traveling and were lighthouse-seekers, where they visited many of the lighthouses along the East Coast. Marcia also liked to read, was an experienced seamstress, liked to crochet and do needlework, collect cardinals and dolls, and she loved numerous four-legged friends.
Mrs. Peaslee is survived by her son, Kevin Zimmerman of Laconia; and her daughter, Marisa “Sunny” Sukumarabandhu, and three grandchildren, of Parrish, Florida.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Peaslee was predeceased by her grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
There will be no calling hours.
A private graveside service will take place at the Church Cemetery in Orange.
