BELMONT — John "Jack" Norman Baker, 81, of High Street, passed away on June 5, 2026, at Concord Hospital in Laconia.

Jack was born on Oct. 2, 1944, in Laconia, the son of Harold and Mary (Rancourt) Baker.

He was a graduate of Belmont High School and served in the United States Marine Corps. Jack enjoyed riding his e-bike, flying drones, fishing, digging oysters and going on scenic drives in his Mustang to the Maine coast.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Sarah (Parsons) Baker; sons Andy Baker and his partner Mardy DeSandre, Erik Baker and his wife Rachel, and Hans Baker and his wife Helen Lloyd-Davies; three grandchildren, Patrick, Annie and Greta; his sister, Jeri Poirrier; brother in-law Roland Maheu; niece Vicki Ashley and nephews Gary and David Maheu. Jack is also survived by numerous members of his first wife Erly’s family in Norway. In addition to his parents, Jack is predeceased by his first wife Erly Baker, his sister Judith Maheu and brother-in-law Roger "Pete" Poirrier.

There will be no calling hours.

Burial with military honors will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 12, at Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia.
