CONCORD — James Makris, 71, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Aug. 29, 2018.
Jim was born in Nashua to Manny and Eva Makris. He leaves behind his loving wife Susan; three daughters and their spouses, Heidi and Mike, Jessica and Jeremy, and Victoria and Jonas; and five grandchildren, Madison, Austin, Joscelyn, Zachary and Elizabeth.
Besides his family, Jim’s other love was music. A lifelong musician, Jim found joy in jamming with friends, at campfires, or in his Man Cave.
Jim owned the Opechee Trading Post in Laconia.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time in Wells, Maine, with his wife.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
Memorial donations may be made in Jim’s name to the “Let’s Go Fishing” program at NH Fish & Game, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, NH 03301.
