CONCORD — Helen Jean Davie, 97, passed away Aug. 12, 2024, at Concord Hospital-Concord.

She was born Dec. 27, 1926, in Norwich, Connecticut, the daughter of Charles Edward Bushnell and Ida L. (Reynolds) Bushnell.

Helen liked to knit and crochet, she would knit lap blankets for seniors, donating them to several organizations.

Helen liked to take long drives, often traveling into Vermont. She enjoyed watching the ice fishing derbies and sled dog races.

Helen worked at an auto dealer for several years. She was a longtime member of the Congregational Church of Laconia, and a current member of the West Congregational Church of Concord. Also, she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her nieces, Patricia Martino (Lewis) of Connecticut, Nancy Ehrnfelt (Chuck) of Florida and Phyllis Soper (Al) of California; her nephews Peter Petrino (Jean) Marie of Florida, and Richard Pilling of Florida and by Sherrie D’Onofrio of New Hampshire.

In addition to her parents, Helen is predeceased by her husband Cleston “Mike” Davie; her first husband Edward Alois Buck; sisters, Hazel Deschenes, Sadie D’Onofrio and Ida Trask; a niece Shirley Simmons and by her nephew John D’Onofrio.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, in the family lot, in South Road Cemetery, Belmont.

For those who wish, the family suggests that memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
