Gillian Copson, 21

Gillian Copson, 21, of Lancaster and Belmont, passed away on June 24, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of Daniel Copson and Jennifer Hines.

She graduated high school in 2021 with honors and was class treasurer during her junior and senior years.

Gillian had a smile that lit up any room. She enjoyed spending time with her many cousins and made many wonderful memories with them, her friends and her longtime boyfriend Brian Carroll and their German shepherd Roscoe. Gillian especially loved art, photography, music, dancing and nature. She had an eye for natural beauty and loved catching a sunset and spending time at the ocean, her happy place.

She is survived by her parents; younger brother Griffin; and uncles and aunts, Tim LeMien and Amber (Copson) LeMien of Belmont, Michael Caton and Separta Welch of Lancaster, Chris Caton and Kate Kowalski of Colorado, Amelia and Craig Martinez of Idaho, Vanessa Hines and Richard Hines. She will be missed dearly by grandparents Brenda Hines, Nancy (Flynn) Radock, Douglas Copson (deceased) and Linda Copson.

A memorial gathering will occur at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, at Belmont beach to watch the sunset.
