Douglas Payne Bolinder of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, born July 2, 1952, passed away on July 14, 2024, at the age of 72. Douglas was the son of his late father Ralph Bolinder, and mother Phyllis May (Grabau) Bolinder. Douglas is survived by sisters, Taryen Shannon, Gail Winchell, a daughter Kimberly Bolinder Zedek, three grandchildren Kristin, Jessica, and Brayden, three great-grandchildren, and also, children he held dear to his heart: Chris, Shawn, Megan, and Ollie, who called him Poppa. Doug touched the hearts of so many he encountered with kindness, humor, and a unique unforgettable laugh. He was a master electrician who used his skills to help many in his community out of kindness. He always had an unwavering personality to show and speak freely of his patriotic views and heart for his country. Doug was a past commander of American Legion Post 33, a true veteran who loved his fellow men and many veterans he called family. Especially Elliot, who was always by Doug’s side wherever he went and loved like a brother. Burial will be at the Boscawen Veterans Cemetery at 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, followed by a celebration of life at 4 p.m. at the American Legion Post 33, 6 Plymouth St., Meredith.
