Debra-Rae Purcell, 58

BRISTOL — Debra-Rae (Libby) Purcell, 58, died on March 23, 2016.

Born in Lebanon on Jan. 24, 1958, she was a daughter of Raymond F. and Lena (Williams) Libby Sr. At a young age, she relocated to Massachusetts and then moved to Ashland, where she resided for 22 years. She also resided in Groton, and most recently in Bristol.

She was employed at Cumberland Farms in Ashland for many years, and at the time of her death was working at Rochester Shoe Tree Co. in Ashland.

Debbie enjoyed her grandchildren, playing bingo, reading, gardening and working on puzzles.

She was predeceased by her parents, her stepmother, Barbara Libby; and her sister, Maxine Libby.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Purcell of Bristol; her son, Shawn Purcell and wife Billie Jo of Moultonborough; her daughters, Brandy Purcell, Sara Purcell and Amanda Purcell, all of Campton; her brothers, Ray Libby Jr., Chris Libby and Daryl Libby, all of Massachusetts; her sisters, Joanne Sweeney and Barbara Weatherwax; half sisters, Kristina and Michelle; grandchildren; and her aunt, Barbara Doucette.

Calling hours will be held at the Dupuis Funeral Home on Hill Avenue in Ashland on Monday, March 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Green Grove Cemetery in Ashland at a time to be announced.
