Anita Elaine Jones, 68, of Hill, passed away peacefully on Sept. 27, 2024.

Born in Franklin, on March 2, 1956, Anita was a lifelong resident of the area. She was widowed in 2019 by her loving husband, Fred Jones. Together Anita and Fred raised two sons, Justin Jones and Eric Jones. Justin’s son, Andrew Jones, was Anita’s cherished grandchild and a bright light in her life.

Anita is survived by her sons, her grandson, and her siblings, Linda Swenson, Janet Brassard and Henry Desnoyers.

During her marriage to Fred, Anita enjoyed spending quality time on their private island on Hermit Lake. She was known for her unwavering strength, generous spirit, and fierce love for her family. Anita had a deep appreciation for nature, with green being her favorite color and owls holding a special place in her heart. She often displayed owl trinkets throughout her home. Anita dedicated many decades of her life to working at Webster Valve.

While there are currently no memorial service plans in place, the family requests that in lieu of gifts or flowers, donations be made to the ASPCA or a local animal shelter in Anita’s honor. She was a passionate animal lover and supported these organizations throughout her life.
