LACONIA — On Aug. 16, from 6 to 7 p.m., Laconia Public Library will host the last in a four-part workshop series on researching family history.

This class will focus on talking to family about your research, using libraries, archives and repositories, visiting local genealogical and historical societies, using family photos, bibles and other resources, research trips, available webinars and online educational resources and documentation tools.

These workshops are led by Ginny Martin, a retired librarian and software engineer with her Certificate of Genealogical Research from the Boston University Center for Professional Education.
