MEREDITH — Local watercolor artist Dr. Marc Bard will host the final installation of his 6th annual Paintings for a Purpose art show at The Winnipesaukee Playhouse in Meredith in August. The community is invited to a special launch party at the Playhouse on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 4-8 p.m. to view and purchase Bard’s New Hampshire-inspired watercolor art.
The show will remain on display at the theater until the end of August. All are welcome to stop in at the launch party or on performance nights to view and purchase art. During this time, the theater will host performances of “Once on this Island” and “The Woman in Black.” All proceeds from the event will benefit the Winnipesaukee Playhouse and GOT LUNCH! Laconia.
“I’m excited to bring Paintings for a Purpose back to the Lakes Region this year,” said Bard. “The Winnipesaukee Playhouse’s mission to uplift the community through live theater mirrors my own aspiration to inspire through the medium of art. It is an honor to be able to use my art to support their wonderful programming as well as GOT LUNCH! Laconia, who work to ensure local children have access to nutritious meals during the summer. I’m eager for everyone to see the artwork we’ve selected for this show.”
