LACONIA — Powerhouse Theatre Collaborative, the resident theater company of the Colonial Theatre, will hold auditions for its new improv troupe — the Circuit Breakers.

Led by Amanda Wagner and Alex Palmer, the troupe will have its debut performance in December at the Colonial and then, like Powerhouse’s Power Chords, be available to perform at area events.

After the success of two improv workshops, Wagner and Palmer decided it was time to create a troupe. While the improv workshops were open to anyone interested in learning about improv, the troupe is by audition only and is for those who have successfully completed the workshops or who have prior improv experience and training with other groups or schools.

Auditions will be held at the Woodside Building of the Taylor Community in Laconia on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 6:30 p.m.

Wagner said, “We look forward to building this troupe from the ground up, and discovering our unique Circuit Breakers voice as an improv ensemble. Alex and I encourage anyone to audition regardless of their improv experience. Show us what you got.”

All the information on what to expect at the audition and how to register can be found at powerhousenh.org/auditions.
