LACONIA — St. Francis Rehabilitation & Nursing Center was named a 2026 recipient of the Bronze Commitment to Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living.

The prestigious national award recognizes long-term and post-acute care providers that demonstrate a strong commitment to quality care, organizational excellence, and continuous improvement. The Bronze Award is the first of three levels within AHCA/NCAL's National Quality Award Program, one of the nation's leading performance improvement initiatives for senior care providers.

To earn the distinction, St. Francis underwent a rigorous review process and was evaluated on areas including leadership, planning, staff engagement, and resident care.

"This recognition belongs to the incredible staff at St. Francis,” Alain Bernard, assistant vice president of Healthcare Services for Catholic Charities N.H. said. “They come to work every day committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care for our residents. We are continually inspired by the difference they make in the lives of our residents and their families."

St. Francis Rehabilitation & Nursing Center will be formally recognized during the 2026 AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo in Boston this October.

The recognition is the latest in a series of honors earned by St. Francis. Earlier this year, the facility received a 2026 Customer Experience Award from Activated Insights, a national benchmark for customer satisfaction in senior care.

Located in Laconia, St. Francis Rehabilitation & Nursing Center provides short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, independent living, and other specialized services for older adults throughout the Lakes Region. For more information, visit stfrancisrehabcenter.org.
