CONCORD — Concord Hospital Trust will host the 20th anniversary of Pedaling for Payson on Saturday, Sept. 6, at Elm Brook Park in Hopkinton. Proceeds will support patients receiving treatment at the Payson Center for Cancer Care.
Presented by Concord Orthopaedics, Pedaling for Payson features road, mountain, gravel rides, and a stationary spin session led by Megan Farmer, head instructor of Ride It Like You Stole It Spin in Concord.
“This annual event plays a vital role in supporting our team-based approach to cancer care, which extends beyond treatment,” said Veronica Rosa, chief advancement officer. “We are grateful to our sponsors, committee members, and riders for their dedication and enthusiasm. Over the past 20 years, we raised more than $2.5 million for Concord Hospital’s Payson Center for Cancer Care through this event.”
Riders of all abilities and ages are welcome. Pedaling for Payson will also include a post-ride barbecue and beverages provided by NH Distributors, The Common Man, and Associated Grocers of New England.
Event proceeds benefit the Pedaling for Hope Fund, which largely funds the Nurse Navigator Program at the Payson Center for Cancer Care. The program helps patients and their families manage treatment schedules, cope with side effects, coordinate logistics, and communicate with specialists.
