Railroad motorcar rides offered

Have you ever ridden in a railroad motorcar? If not, then you should stop by Fernald Station in Wolfeboro on Sunday, Aug. 13 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The members of the Cotton Valley Rail Trail Club will be giving rides to the public that day. A line of gas and diesel powered cars will be ready to take you out on the rails. There will be several different kinds of cars, including some older belt-driven cars from the 1930s and '40s including one with a vintage gang trailer. The club is located at 64 Governor Wentworth Highway in Wolfeboro. For directions or more information about the Open House and the club can be found at http://www.cottonvalley.org/openhouse.html.
