Meredith to host fireworks July 4

MEREDITH — The Greater Meredith Program will again host the Fourth of July fireworks for the town of Meredith. Atlas Pyro Vision Productions will bring an enhanced fireworks display to Meredith for this year’s celebration. The fireworks are scheduled to go off at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4, from Meredith Bay. If inclement weather prohibits the display, the rain date is July 5 at 9:30 p.m.

The GMP welcomes everyone to enjoy the fireworks display and safety is their first concern. To comply with safety regulations, the Meredith Boat Ramp and Town Docks will be closed at 6 p.m. and reopen at approximately 10:30 p.m. In addition, Route 3 (Daniel Webster Highway) from Lake Street to Route 25 will be closed to vehicles at 8:30 p.m. and reopened at approximately 10:30 p.m. Traffic will be diverted from Route 3 onto Lake St. and then to Main Street to avoid the closed section of road.

Thank you to residents and visitors for your cooperation during the setup and display of the fireworks.

The GMP extends their appreciation to Matt O’Neil of Meredith Marina for supplying the boat used in the 2017 fireworks display.

For public enjoyment, NOTEable Sound Reinforcement of Meredith will provide patriotic music from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. from the town docks parking lot.
