The Meredith Parks & Recreation Department will open its town beaches for the summer season on Saturday, June 27. Lifeguards will be on duty at both Leavitt Beach and Waukewan Beach every day through Saturday, August 23, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
American Red Cross swimming lessons will be offered at Leavitt Beach and Waukewan Beach beginning Monday, July 6. There will be three two-week sessions offered throughout the summer. The resident fee is $15 per session, and the nonresident fee is $30 per session. Participants may register at either beach starting June 27, or at the Meredith Community Center prior to June 27. Participants must be 5 years of age at the time of class.
