LRGHealthcare is again hosting the CSI Program (Caring Student Interns) for local teens. Franklin Regional Hospital and Lakes Region General Hospital will kick off their annual CSI Programs in July.

The CSI program is offered to teens between the ages of 14 and 18 who are interested in learning about health careers. Participants will have the opportunity to learn medical skills such as taking blood pressures, respirations, first aid skills and more. Students will become familiar with many different departments, skills and staff. Upon completion of this 6-week program students will be eligible to volunteer on the nursing floor working directly with the LNA’s. CSI students will earn their CPR certification as part of the program, and this certification is good for two years.

CSI begins Tuesday, July 14 at Lakes Region General Hospital, and Wednesday, July 15 at Franklin Regional Hospital. The program is open to students from all of the local school districts. Space is limited. For an application, please call Darcy Peary at 603-524-3211, ext 6720. The deadline for applications is Friday, May 22.
