Lakes Region General Hospital is currently looking for volunteers to serve in various positions throughout the hospital.

“Volunteers are vital to our operations both working with patients and behind the scenes,” says Director of Volunteer and Community Services Sandy Marshall. “Our volunteers provide caring, personalized service to patients and staff. These people are making a difference in our community, and so many of our volunteers find that to be a truly rewarding experience.”

Volunteers are currently needed in several areas within the hospital, as well as off-campus locations such as the Healthlink Building in downtown Laconia.

LRGHealthcare is currently looking for volunteers to provide clerical/office support during the day, Monday through Friday in the departments of Administration, Women’s Imaging Center, Education Services and The HealthLink program.

The LRGH Gift Shop is also looking for volunteers from 4 to 8 p.m. on any day of the week.

These are just a few of the volunteer opportunities currently available. Volunteers can either schedule a regular weekly shift, or make themselves available as substitutes. Training is provided for all volunteer positions. For more information, call Volunteer Coordinator Darcy Peary at 524-3211, ext. 6720.
