GILMANTON — On June 6, the Ellis-Geddes-Levitt Gilmanton Unit #102 of the American Legion Auxiliary awarded the Stockwell Scholarship to Brianna Bowen.
The Scholarship is awarded annually by the Auxiliary to a Gilmanton graduating Senior High School student who is pursuing further education. Ms. Bowen's award-winning essay, Proud to be an American, was chosen from among the eleven applying senior submissions.
The Auxiliary's purpose is to further Americanism and support veterans, military and their families. This annual award encourages students to consider the importance of contributions to the community and society.
