LACONIA — The Laconia Historical and Museum Society has postponed a a reception for its newest exhibition entitled "The Historic Churches of Laconia" from tonight until Monday. Feb. 2 at 6 pm at The Laconia Public Library. This exhibition will remain on display through the month of March.

In addition to the amazing architecture of Laconia's historic churches, comes a rich history ... those lost to fire and those rebuilt after fire, buildings raised to add a second level and steeples lowered ... and even those that have moved across town and face a new beginning. This exhibition was designed to share that rich history.

"I have always been in awe of the amazing architecture that surrounds us in Laconia – and our Historic Churches are an excellent example of that, says LHMS Executive Director, Brenda Kean. "Pulling this exhibit together has been a series of great adventures and new discoveries. I am so excited to share with our community the pieces that we have gathered ... some of them haven't been seen by the general public for more than 75 years."

This event is free and open to the public. For more information about this event, contact Laconia Historical and Museum Society at 603.527.1278, by email at lhmslpl@metrocast.net or on the web at LaconiaHistorical.org.
