MEREDITH — The Community Garden Club of Meredith held its June 16 luncheon meeting at Moulton Farm.
After enjoying selections from the farm menu prepared by the kitchen crew, John Moulton welcomed the club members and highlighted the history of the farm. Moulton explained that the farm began as a means to feed the Moulton family, which then expanded to the farm of today.
The farm features farm raised meats, farm grown fruits, herbs and vegetables, baked goods, and Sal's Fresh Seafood. Locally sourced cheeses and dairy items are available as well as with jams, jellies and sauces. Additionally, Moulton Farm has a cutting garden that provides seasonal flowers for the home garden and landscaping.
Co-Presidents, Jodi Wilson and Charlene Malek introduced Martha Billings and Shirley Currier who represented the Scholarhip Committee and shared the winning essay submitted by Eric Boquist, recent graduate from Inter-Lakes High School. Both Boquist and his mother, Judy joined the members for lunch.
