GED Preparation Classes at Laconia Adult Education are scheduled to start on Monday, September 29, Tuesday, September 30 and Thursday, October 2. Monday’s class runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday classes run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for a period of ten weeks.
On Monday students will work on reading comprehension skills in the subject areas of Science, Social Studies and Language Arts/Reading. Tuesdays the students prepare for the Writing Skills Section, Part I and on Thursdays the Math Section, Part V of the GED Exam. The GED Preparation classes move very quickly and are a review. Test taking tips to score higher on the exam are also given.
The GED Exam is given by appointment only. A person must be eighteen years of age and be out of school before they can take the GED Exam. If a person is under age eighteen, a waiver from the NH Department of Education, Bureau of Adult Education must be obtained.
